We enjoyed hearing about her inspiration for Save Me A Seat, a book that many or our 4th and 5th grade students enjoyed. She gave our young writers tips on how to write a story. Our younger students enjoyed listening to her picture book, My Bindi, which shares the importance of our individual cultures and in believing in yourself. One time when I wore it somewhere, I was nervous; but after your visit, I realized that I do not have to be nervous anymore, instead be brave and confident.
